Seaside Park is a small borough on the Barnegat Peninsula, the barrier island that runs down the Ocean County coast. It is a narrow ribbon of land — Barnegat Bay laps the western bayfront blocks while the Atlantic breaks against the dune line a few streets east. Seaside Heights sits directly to the north, but the Park is the quieter, more residential neighbor: a grid of cottages and family homes along Central Avenue, Ocean Avenue, Bayview Avenue, and the lettered SW and SE streets, on tight sandy lots built shoulder to shoulder.
